国立天文台では、多くの方に夜空を眺める機会を持っていただこうと、8月に活動するペルセウス座流星群を対象に、「夏の夜、流れ星を数えよう」キャンペーンをおこないます。ペルセウス座流星群の活動が活発になる8月11日の夜から14日の夜（15日の朝まで）にかけて、なるべく長い時間夜空を眺めていただき、その間に何個の流れ星を見ることができたかを報告ページから報告してください。
